Do You Really Know Your Perfect Client?

I want to talk to you about your avatar.

I have been having a lot of conversations with people this last month or so about their avatar, that they really don’t know their avatar, and they’ve never even thought about it… And I want to address why this is really important.

Now, in the beauty industry, the beauty, hair and aesthetic industry where you try and please everybody, we want to treat everybody and we want everybody to be our clients. But what happens with this is everything that we put out there in terms of social media, the way we talk, when we post on social media, the posts that we share, the lives that we do, nothing hits home because we’re trying to be too generic, we’re trying to hit everybody. And when you try and hit everybody, you hit nobody.

So, your avatar is so important and the reason why it’s important is that if you know exactly who you are talking to, it will make everything else become so much easier.

But I want to give you a little bit of info about that now.

So, when you are building your avatar, you want to be so specific and you want to break it down, right from their age, what they do for a living, what car they drive, where they spend their money, where they shop, what they do in their free time, do they have a family? Do they have a high demanding job? What is their salary?

Everything needs to be documented. And the reason for this is because when you then start producing content to help sell you and your services, you’re going to have this person in the front of your mind. And when you’ve got this person in front of your mind it’s going to do many things.

What is going to do is create very specific posts, so you make sure that your marketing is very specific because you’re trying to reach that person, but it’s also going to govern when you post. if I’m trying to attract somebody that has a very high demanding job, a family woman who’s in her thirties, I’m not going to post content at three o’clock in the afternoon, when she’s going to be either still working or on a school run.

I’m going to be posting at eight o’clock at night, when I know she’s got in, she’s had a tea and she’s finally sat down for the day.

And this is so important and people don’t read into this enough, so you have to be so specific. And it will also give you the chance to know what kind of post to put out there, it will also make you understand how to talk, how to market yourself, where to be posting, what platforms, what groups on Facebook to be posting in.

So, it is vital and it will also help you choose the right product ranges. Because if you know you’re attracting somebody that has got a really busy lifestyle, they obviously want quick and easy to use products at home, so it will also enable you to pick the right product line, the right treatments to incorporate.

So everything that you do in your business, you need to have your avatar in the front of your mind.
