How Do I Stay So Motivated?

I wanted to share with you my top five tips on how I managed to stay so motivated. I get this so much. I get so many people messaging me and saying, how the hell do you do it? How do you stay so positive? Especially with these poor times that we’re in. So, I want to share with you my top five tips.

The first tip is what you do in the morning. First thing in the morning, you need to be doing something that inspires and motivates you. You need to leave your phone alone, don’t go on social media and get up and do something for yourself.

My morning routine is going for a rollerblade. If I’ve not got the children, I get up, I get a good podcast on and I go from a good 10-mile rollerblade and it completely energizes me and motivates me for the day.

You need to find your thing. You need to find your thing that motivates you, whether it’s just listening to some music and having a large glass of water, or whether it’s doing some stretches, first thing in the morning, leave that phone alone and do something that motivates you and makes you feel good.

The second thing is controlling what you see and what you do on social media. We all can go down that rabbit hole of scrolling, getting involved in debates and discussions and watching really pointless, meaningless videos. Before we knew it, we spent two hours. And we’ve done bugger all. So, make sure that you only go into the groups and into the forums and into the communities that inspire you.

I spend a lot of my time in my coaching groups, beauty groups and in aesthetic groups. I put in there a lot of value, I answer a lot of questions, people ask me questions and that is such a feel-good factor because if you’re putting value into these groups, if people are reaching out and asking, ‘Oh, I need help with this. How can you help me receive more online?’ I’m helping give them little mini tips on how to help their business, which makes me feel good. I come out of conversations feeling very positive, very uplifted and unstoppable.

So, make sure you only surround yourself in these platforms that inspire and motivate you and that are in alignment with your beliefs and what you want to do and who you are as a person and don’t get caught in the scroll.

Another big tip and this is a new one for me is I have stopped having conversations about the C-word. I do not get involved, I only have one conversation a day. I do not get involved in these big pandemic discussion debates, conspiracy theories, I can’t be bothered with it. I only have one discussion a day and that is because it just takes up too much of my time.

Everyone’s got really strong opinions and it just gets really heated, and then you come out of it feeling really deflated and feeling angry limit yourself, one conversation a day about it, that’s all you need. And then if anybody comes to you wants to talk about it afterwards. No, I’m done. Don’t talk about it. Don’t get drawn into that.

Another one is planning and goal setting. I go to bed every night and I know what I’m going to be doing the next day. But I also have my goals and plans mapped out for the next 20 years.

I’m not a natural planner and not many people are, but it is very important to goal set. It’s very important to have your goals and break down your goals into manageable tasks. And once you’ve done that, you know each day, what you are working on. So that is very, very important.

The fifth one is a good sleep. Making sure you have a good sleep, you reduce your caffeine intake at night time. You have a good sleep and you wake up feeling energised and ready to do your morning routine.

So here are my top five tips. So, just to go back on my five tips:

  1. Number one, is waking up and doing something for you that motivates and inspires and makes you feel good.
  2. Number two, surround yourself on Facebook in platforms, in groups and forums that are in alignment with what you do and put it in value and helping people put it in knowledge and you will get that back and don’t get sucked into the scrolling.
  3. Number three only, have one conversation a day about the C-word. Okay. Only one conversation a day, because it will just get you feeling negative and uninspired and feeling depressed. So, one conversation a day.
  4. Number four, is having a really good sleep. Waking up, feeling energised and ready to tackle that day.
  5. And number five, is planning and goal setting. Making sure you have your goals firmly in place and your goals are broken down into manageable tasks.

So, that’s quite a lot for you to take, but that is how I stay motivated. And everybody asked me day by day, how do you manage to stay so motivated in such a crazy time and that is everything I do.

Try and implement some of them into your routine, and you too will feel motivated, inspired, and ready to tackle the day and tackle your work and your goals.
